You can hold appointments online with an East Village Spa gift card! We just need the gift card to have enough to cover the cost of the 50% cancellation fee. Note: if you are booking more than 3 months in advance, please hold your service with a credit card instead and we can apply your gift card the day of service.
Unfortunately our online scheduling system does not have the capability to reserve two therapists and the couple's room. Please call 515-309-2904 to book or add your name to the waitlist for couple's massages! When booking through the website for a group of two, these will NOT be booked in a couple's room. The last thing we want is to surprise co-workers or a brother-sister with a couples massage!
Yes, you can choose "any therapist," male, female, or a specific provider's name. For example, if you book a prenatal massage and select "any therapist" you will ONLY see options for therapists who are trained in this service so you trust it is someone we've approved for this service. We encourage you to try multiple providers on our team for the most booking options! See how.
Our online scheduler IS current. If you don't see an opening, that's because we don't have the space for your requested service or provider. You can try searching for a shorter service or a different provider. Call to get added to our priority wait list or better yet, check the app in the mornings around 9:30-10 am, as we get cancellations nearly every day before we can call the wait list!
When a therapist has a cancellation or opening, our online app will show you all of the potential start times in 5 minute increments. That 11:20 and 11:25 appointment you see? That is one massage with one therapist, and the two times he can start the service before his next guest.
Each client needs has their own account so we can keep records and receipts organized and in compliance. This is especially important for massage therapy, which is a healthcare service. You can create a login for each person in your family with their unique e-mail. You can store your credit card on their accounts. We just need to keep their treatment records separate to provide better care.
You can cancel your service online. Please note that if you cancel within the short notice time frame you agreed to when booking online, you will incur a charge, even cancelling through the app. If there is a true emergency, please text or call the spa ASAP to discuss options. You cannot modify or move a service online, but you can cancel and rebook it.

If you started actually booking the appointment, it might be holding the spot for 5 minutes to prevent double booking (think of buying reserve seat concert tickets online.) If you didn't start the booking and the spot is gone, someone else or our front desk team may have booked it first. If it is less than 45 minutes from the appointment time, you'll need to call to book.
