Our policies are fluid and evolve with emerging public health data and CDC guidance. Effective August 3rd, 2021, we have returned to requiring common area masking (including our nail suite) for all guests, in accordance with CDC guidelines. All of our employees mask, regardless of their vaccine status. We will continue this as long as COVID19 transmission rates remain substantial or high in our area. Let's do all we can to
We require any unvaccinated guest to mask in services (save for facials, lip and chin waxing) and strongly prefer anyone who is vaccinated to also mask. Masks are required in our nail area. We prefer but will not mandate masks in massage or body wax services for guests who are fully vaccinated. We reserve the right to request proof of vaccination.
We know there is no perfect fit and regardless of what decision we feel is best for our team and the community. We appreciate your kindness and flexibility as we continue to follow evidence informed guidelines to the best of our efforts. Our main priority is serving our community and providing skilled and safe wellness services.
We cannot provide services to anyone with a potentially contagious illness, including colds (even at the tail end) the flu, bronchitis, or contagious skin conditions. Please reschedule to a time you can fully relax and when our providers won't risk getting sick and missing work. Their guests depend on them!
We reserve the right to request proof of vaccination for guests wishing to unmask in a massage and reserve the right to deny service to anyone who refuses to adhere to policies set to provide greater safety and comfort to our employees.
We have always been proud to appropriately sanitize spa tools, linens, and surfaces. This is what you can ALWAYS expect at East Village Spa:
We cannot see guests who are sick with any potentially contagious illness, with a rash or skin condition (including poison ivy or skin infection,) a fever for any reason, or with concerns that warrant medical attention should reschedule. This is for the provider safety, but also for YOUR safety! Some illnesses or skin conditions can be made worse with spa services. If you aren't sure if you are safe to receive a service, please call us to ask.
Our services providers are trained, educated, and licensed. We ask guests to complete initial health history forms before facials, massage therapy, and waxing. We also ask guests to update this information periodically. These forms help us to customize your service to best address your needs, but also look for contraindications including medications or products that could cause interactions or require a service modification.
Please contact us in advance if you are not sure if a health or skin issue you have may require you to postpone your visit with us. We appreciate treatment forms done electronically in advance of your visit, as this will allow your provider to identify any potential concerns and suggest an alternative treatment for you.
